Soooo badass, sooo cool :) Yup, that made me happy I began to collect commisars :)
3) New stormtrooper models are awesome. Really, I wanted to have some berets in WH40K to remind me Mutant Chronicles Warzone and with their carapce, they look simply great! Almost as good as Kasrkin :)
4) The transport is...well, so far it seems ugly. But maybe its the matter of photo. Steel legion would be harder, but Madrobot does sell similar helmets and great coats. With a tiny bit of work you may be able to make them work but you are right. Steel legion is a hard one.

And im glad you dont play at their stores. Talk about stifling creativity!

The Praetorians look amazing, I have an army of the guys. They havent won a battle yet but one day they shall. I highly suggest you at least try a third party service. Once you start your eyes will be opened to a whole new world of epic models and ideas. Just gotta take that first step! I've checked out Victoria Miniatures, but I've always been skeptical of buying from 3rd party stores. If there's no way for me to get my beloved Steel Legion or Ice Warriors, Praetorians wouldn't be that much of a step down :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881293435472421903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-71748931581029687972014-03-09T20:28:56.894-07:002014-03-09T20:28:56.894-07:00If you dont play in a GW store try using alternati...If you dont play in a GW store try using alternative models to make your own. Victoria Miniatures is great for example. And the best part is they are in resin most of the time too (resin holds more detail) but its not low quality like FW or GW resin. Its easier to use and has the same detail. I know how you feel greatly. Im not a fan of seeing Cadians populate the imperial guard like rabbits haha.

Madrobot miniatures is cool too. Both have lots of room for customization. Here in NZ victoriam miniatures is far cheaper than GW plus free shipping too.

Sorry i cant help but spread the word about the awesome alternatives out there. But GW does do some nice minis but the cost is a bit much for many. That's about 435 USD, and then there is shipping fees and tax payments. I'd like to start a Valhallan or Steel Legion force, but I'm not dropping $500 for about 250 points worth of an army. I understand that they are higher quality models, but IG is already one of the most expensive armies to build.

It's a bit of a far cry (a bit, eh?), but if FW makes the models in plastic and FW products are sold through GW, building a non-cadian army will be plausible.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881293435472421903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-68200177455648889272014-03-09T17:47:37.257-07:002014-03-09T17:47:37.257-07:00I have been waiting for so long. So should be fun.

Since my last post I too can see that transport looking good in some themes.

But boy those storm troopers are awesome. I just love the armour. And to be honest, resin is not as expensive as it used to be, the price gap is not too bad, especially if you do it right.Grumpy Guardsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17589097813598490581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-44651145622598328672014-03-09T16:56:12.466-07:002014-03-09T16:56:12.466-07:00Likin the commissar on the cover. I can't wait to see the new guard rank-and-file regardless, though.

RIP everything that isn't Cadian/Catachan. What do you think the likelihood is of FW picking up the other regiments, and if they will stay plastic or be uber expensive resin like DKoK?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881293435472421903noreply@blogger.com
