I'm commenting on individual facts, like how good the warlord trait re-roll is, and the objective secured rule's effect. That is not saying 'I don't enjoy it'. As I said, every time I've played D E with night fighting I've been on the back foot from the off. Is the purpose of the comments section to comment or to push GW's stock prices up? I don't play Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Eldar or Tau. I have every right, just like Chaos players and Tyranid players to think GW doesn't always put out quality rules. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don't. Just look at Ogryns. Now imagine half the codex you paid good money to play has Ogryn like-rules. You would probably want the new edition to address that, and be a bit miffed if it did not. If you want to tell me its so great, tell me why its going to be so great. If you notice I my first post expressed some optimism, but I'm not going to blindly go along with 'it won't be worse'. The full set of rules haven't been released yet so how can anybody know? Go check out the article at Frontline Gaming "Just Because the Sky Isn't Falling, Doesn't Mean it Isn't Falling on Someone."

Servicious, the Disgruntled Dark EldarAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-80816963939867845822014-05-13T17:28:42.808-07:002014-05-13T17:28:42.808-07:00Unfortunately I have to agree, yes, D E are an old...Unfortunately I have to agree, yes, D E are an older codex and when they get redone I'm sure that things will improve. As it stands they are likely to be one of the first after the ork and B A codex. I'm really not pleased about the possibility of consolidation in to combat, but I'll deal with it and if you don't want to play spam lists, don't.
One thing I will say though is that D E rock when it comes to night fighting.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07412304888734273336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-16911288117441223632014-05-13T16:14:10.575-07:002014-05-13T16:14:10.575-07:00Here here! Sure there are cheese lists now, but this edition should be judged on whether or not it makes things better, let alone worse. For my army, this edition needs to make it better because the game was already not great before. Worse would simply be unacceptable. There could be a little more choice in which detachment you want to choose for this, but since your warlord cannot be from an ally detachment (minus INQ) this implies that this will only work on your primary detachment.Grumpy Guardsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17589097813598490581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-41846354488297586082014-05-13T01:39:11.659-07:002014-05-13T01:39:11.659-07:00As I don't spam anything but maybe troops, the...As I don't spam anything but maybe troops, the bonus will be awesome.
A default rerollable warlord table with Creed is great, the chances to get outflank are higher and the one of getting relentless is lower, because who needs that anyway when staying back.

But hey, we'll see what unbound will result in.
Quad riptide and deathstars are already a thing, now there could be even worse coming...MajorNesenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-85991108514839442842014-05-12T23:29:41.214-07:002014-05-12T23:29:41.214-07:00On the video GW released I'm fairly sure it gi...On the video GW released I'm fairly sure it gives your allies the special rule.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3830414113837067378.post-65744724582867345932014-05-12T21:50:56.619-07:002014-05-12T21:50:56.619-07:00I am more optimistic now about 7th, given the bonu...I am more optimistic now about 7th, given the bonuses to battle forged, but it won't matter much if a spammy list you don't have the fire power to deal with tables you before those troops can claim those objectives. The ability re-roll on warlords table is only really a boon if your options from that table are any good. Since my options come from the base rulebook, I really hope they fix those tables or they won't help me much. Where did you get your info that unbound can't take allies? Nothing from what I saw seems to indicate that, but I could have missed something. I heard a nasty rumor that nothing is changing in close combat. If that turns out to be true, my army is going to get beat harder than ever in 7th.

Servicious, the Disgruntled Dark EldarAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
