All Hail Mars

Well what have we here.  Looks like the first pic confirmation of Ad mech.  The binary translates to All Hail Mars, so pretty much a confirmation even though no models have been sighted yet.  I did not really expect this to pan out, nor be so soon in the year, but I am really happy to be wrong.  I cannot wait to add admech to my force.

What I am really hoping to do is to take them with my scions to add some heavy firepower and punch that they lack.  Now its going to depend on how the rules come out and what the force looks like, but I am confident there is going to be some very useful pieces to throw around in my existing armies.

Really happy about this!  Sorry for being away for so long, haven't been doing much 40k lately, so not much to really write about.

  1. I'm still not sure on these, for some reason I just can't get excited about them and don't really see them gaining a place in my armies. That might change when I see the models and the rules, but not at the moment. I suppose it could be due to all the sisters rumours that have been flying around lately, as I would love to add some sisters to my inq list, but I think I'll have to wait a while for that one.

  3. AWESOME! I can't wait to combine an Adeptus Mechanicus army with my Imperial Knights! Yes! Thank you very much, Games Workshop! They had better have Skitarri for troops! I have always loved the Skitarri and their Hellguns/Hot-shot lasguns, and will be looking forward to fielding a squad of them!

And if I'm really invested in the fluff, I can pretend my Imperial Knights are from the House of Taranis, defending the Lords of Mars! I'm so looking forward to this!

    FOR MARS!

  4. I hope at some point we see a full on Imperial Formation. One that allows you to take Inquisitors as HQ, Space Marines, Imperial Guard, AdMech, Assassins, Imperial Knights and Sisters as a single force... Something that allows you to fully bring the might of the Imperium to bear...

    1. That would be cool, but prob so expensive you could only do it in an apoc game.

    2. I agree it would tend to be expensive, but I'm thinking of something along the recent Necron formations. Where you would have a couple of requirements and then could add in additional units from the entire Imperial spectrum. So not EVERYthing would be required, but everything could be added... you know? :)

  5. The potential is amazing, especially seeing how harlequin was a full codex with beautiful models, and original type armies.
But, this will probably be a damned data slate with five units sharing the same old model. Or at best overpriced units like knights.

  6. I'm really interested in the coming stuff, first pics from the WD can already be found at the usual sites.

Some of the models will be mine anyway. Depending on how the models look and the codex fits, I'll convert my first imperial knight to a Mechanicum one, if not it will become an Alpha Legion dreadnought conversion.

  7. 2 models, 4 units. That's all. And they're very meh. Not much of the quality the clown elves of space got, no characters. And stats wise vets with armor are better due to points cost. Not really playable unLess the ad mech guns are amazing.

    1. You do realize that the release isn't over? There's already a picture of the transport walker floating around the web, and the release can't be finished before the codex is out. Rumors indicate towards a 3 week release, and characters have been mentioned too.

Harlies didn't have their tourbus and other models in the first week either, just wait for a week or two...

    2. Completely disagree on the comparison to vets, one they are relentless, two they have feel no pain 6+, and three they come stock with 4+. Then their weapons, which are better than vets in every way. Vets may be cheaper, but cheaper does not mean better.

Agree with Major neese, more to come, its just week one and what has come so far is pretty good.

    3. Seriously Bard... WAY too pessimistic WAY too early. Let's at least wait for them to be actually released before you dump all over them...
