Bullgryn WIP part 3: Done

So now I have the bullgryns done.  At least table ready done, there is plenty more that could be done, but for me they are now acceptable for games.  Here's hoping that they do well this weekend and are happy with their paint job.

The leader of the retards!

So there you have it, they are done for now.  One day will go back and satisfy the perfectionist in me.

  2. Have ever tried using Citadel Nuln Oil? when you put it on your models it makes the paint darker and gives it a aged look. I love it I use it with Auric Armour Gold and it looks great.

    1. Yep I def do. I used, sepia something I think for the skin, to give shading to the recesses in the muscles and face. They're is more work I can do on them, they're just good enough for now :)

    2. Eh, Seraphim Sepia gives a pretty strong yellow color. For the skin, if you're going for Caucasian, I'd say go with Cadian Fleshtone then inked with Reikland Fleshshade, then a later of 50/50 Bleached Bone/Dwarf Flesh, and then a final highlight of bleached bone. The armor could use some drybrushing or highlighting too, to make it not look quite as flat. Still though, not bad and good for the table top. The models are a lot of fun to build and paint. If you end up making any more try using some greenstuff to change the angle of the arms, I made six myself and wanted more than the three poses. Here's three of mine, I made the hoods from the shoulderpads in the Ogryn kit. http://imgur.com/8bkFVfw

    3. Yeah, I'm going to go back over it and drybrush cadian fleshtone to lighten the skin up and have not a monotone palate, but its good enough for now. I tend to paint stuff good enough, and then go back a month or two later for the "Nice" work. The guys look nice btw.

    4. Thanks for the compliment, and yeah, often with new models you just want to whip up a quick paint scheme just so you can get to using them on the tabletop. I plan on running mine with a Priest and Inquisitor, still haven't gotten the chance to try them out.

    1. They're so dumb its adorable. Pretty well, a unit of 6 took out 10 terminators, plus minor chaff stuff. And their cover bonus has helped out as well. This was without FnP to, so that should increase their survivability.

    1. Wolf priest gets you a 6+, sanguinary priest gets you standard FnP, and if you roll on biomancy and get endurance, that also gets you 4+ FnP
