A blog about Warhammer 40K, and my favorite defenders of the Imperium the Imperial Guard. From tactics to painting, to just plain fluff. This is my take on the wonderful hobby that is 40K.

Hobby post: Complete Space Wolf Rhino
Another project completed, the rhino is done and ready for battle. I did not glue the ramp nor the top hatches so I could paint the inside, the inside could use some touchups but it won't be seen often enough to be on my priority list. Only have a few space wolf units left to complete, just krom dragonaze and some scouts, will get to those soon.
So a simple battle taxi is complete, now the blood claws have a ride rather than slogging it. Was not able to get a game in, my partner ended up having another event get in the way, which is fine as it gave me more hobby time.

The rhino looks great..... It just needs weathering! Some scratches on the edges would be awesome, the easiest thing would be just to wash the model. Please do it, you'll thank yourself in the end. But anyway, you have no idea how awesome this blog has been for my guard, thanks!
ReplyDeleteOne day it will, right now I'm happy with the "factory" look. Scratches on the edges and a little wash will do. But for now it will work for the table top..
DeleteYou are welcome, glad to be of help to you and the always awesome IG :)
I do like your method of painting to a tabletop standard (so you can quickly use the models), then later going back and fleshing them out. It's a nice compromise! Look forward to when you attack this model with some battle damage :).
ReplyDeleteYeah, otherwise it becomes too easy to get bogged down in details and the model never gets done. This way I have a usable model that I can touch up at a later date when motivated.
