How To Win at Everything Forever

Ahaha I have discovered the secret.  If you have been searching for the secrets of victory, I have discovered it.  Behold the revenant titan and all its D weapon glory!

In all seriousness this thing is beast and it will be a tough kill.  Luckily its damn expensive.  Watch this batrep from Frontline Escalation Batrep

Initial thoughts: Vendettas, vendettas will kill this fucker.  So there is your answer.  Or the baneblade with its own D weapon.

Fortifications can get void shields so this is a very tempting option (all in all  I really like the fortification supplement)

But if you are only interested in competition and winning, well bring this, you prob have Taudar already so this will still fit in with it.

All hyperbole aside.  This bastard is tough but not unbeatable.  Get practice fighting it and you will be able to deal with it.

  1. Haven't watched the batrep, but it seems like there is still a lot of confusion about the new rules. Guess we'll see what happens. I don't think it will make a massive difference, after all how many people will field super heavies? At 80 pound a pop for a baneblade I won't.

    1. Having looked through both books, you can easily counter D weapons with void shields. The most dangerous super is the Revenant with 4 D large blasts, but its 900 pts. Now one Shield generator is 100pts with 3 void shields with a 12" bubble. In terms of cost effectiveness fortifications are going to see a huge change in the game where as escalation is going to see minor changes to the game but most armies will be able to deal with.

Honestly I might. I have wanted one for a long time and have never been able to justify it. Being able to bring one with my armored group might get me to get one (second hand obviously) and bring for fun.

  2. I'll stick one on the wish list for sure, but right now I'm going to be sinking my money in to a couple of vendetta's and some Chimera chassis. As for the second hand side of things, pretty much everything I own was bought second hand or was a present. I'd much rather buy twice as much second hand than half as much new, even if it means doing some corrective surgery!

    1. Vendetta's are always a good bet and honestly better bang for buck anyways. Its nice having models NiB but for normal guardsmen, as long as they aren't fully painted it doesn't really matter if they are secondhand
